Meredith Hardee

Meredith Hardee is a lead spiritual counselor, putting more than 20 years of experience in addiction treatment and more than 35 years of recovery to work to listen to, support, and guide patients in their spiritual journey.

Her primary role is to help patients see and recognize the patterns in their lives and change those destructive patterns that block their ability to move toward recovery. She brings empathy and compassion to that work enabling an open loving space so patients can heal and grow. Meredith offers individual counseling, facilitates groups, and lectures on topics including relationships, grief and loss, and spirituality. She also teaches meditation as a coping skill for anxiety and depression.

She considers this work to be a calling to help others live their best life and not succumb to the shame and hurts of their past. The work Meredith does deepens her gratitude for being able to assist others who are hurting and for patients who are willing and desiring a life worth living.

She came to Caron as a spiritual counselor in 2000. Her expertise is in psychodynamic therapy, spiritual pathways, relationships, and noticing repeated patterns in person’s life. She has been trained in Gestalt therapy (experiential therapy), EMDR, and hands-on healing.

Meredith has a doctorate and master’s in pastoral counseling, both from Newman University, Aston, Pennsylvania. Her dissertation describes how a spiritual life can decrease shame and increase spiritual sentiment, aiding a person in recovery. She is a licensed professional counselor.
