All I can say is - IT TRULY IS MAGIC MOUNTAIN.

Caron and staff helped me put my life back together. After 1 other rehab 2xs and 2 detox's, 2 DUIs and almost losing everything I loved - I finally feel whole again.

I consider myself incredibly blessed that I finally let someone help me.

After having been in a repetitive cycle of recovery, in and out of various "high end" treatment centers, the Caron Ocean Drive team gave me my life back! The extensive brain work and numerous counseling sessions, performed with a level of care I had never experienced, placed me on the path to both living and thriving!

I look back at my time at Caron as essential for my sobriety. I had no idea that Caron even existed. I was in the ICU and an addiction counselor came in to talk. She asked if I wanted help. I was in the hospital not from alcohol poisoning but because I had run my body so far down that my electrolytes crashed and I almost died. Did I want help...Absolutely! She said she would look into things and I was released from the ICU and went straight to Caron. That's enough of what brought me to Caron. You can speculate on the war stories. There are many. My survival since Caron is based on desire and the incredible education I received while a resident at Caron. I understand me so much more. I can recognize the symptoms of my addiction and I was given the tools to deal with them. The bonds with staff were great. I don't think I met anyone who didn't have my best interest in mind whether that was physically, emotionally, or spiritually. The best part of the experience was the friendships I made. I keep in touch with most of the guys I was "in" with. We encourage each other, talk, and laugh together just like we did at Caron. Those relationships are priceless. I strongly recommend Caron. If you Want help and are ready, to be honest with yourself Caron is the place to be.

There are not enough stars to appropriately rate Caron….. just like we can’t count the stars in the universe!!!!

After over 20 years of trying to get sober on my own, I finally found Caron Treatment Center on March 2, 2021. That was the day my life and the life of my family began to change.

Once I left Magic Mountain a month later, I put into use everything I learned while in treatment. One of the most valuable pieces of advise was the importance of connection, building a community with others in recovery and the spiritual component of giving back what was so freely given to me.

Today, my life has purpose. I’m continuing to grow and learn…”One Day At A Time”.

Everyday’s a gift, as long as I stay on my path of sobriety.
