Caron’s more than 65 years of treatment experience has reinforced the awareness that individualized support following treatment helps to address the vulnerability and challenges of early recovery, building a strong foundation for well-being and long-term recovery.
With the My Recovery Connection Program, you and your family benefit from guidance, coaching, support, and accountability designed to help you navigate the path of early recovery. Our experienced recovery specialists and specially trained peer coaches are by your side every step of the way.
Caron’s statistics from the My Recovery Connection Program show the value that recovery support offers. At one year, 68% reported continued abstinence and 85% reported high satisfaction with their quality of life and improved relationships. Families also reported increased quality of life and satisfaction in their relationships.
My Recovery Connection offers three tiers of support that are individualized to meet your specific needs. All levels include family support and education, which is critical to recovery and health for you and for your family.
Tier 1: Intensive Support and Guidance
Recovery Support Specialists with clinical experience and education provide structured, intensive assistance. You and your specialist will meet weekly, by phone or video call, and establish other connections that support you to:
- Set recovery goals and make progress toward meeting them.
- Establish recovery connections and support in the community.
- Navigate challenges as they come up.
In addition, the support specialist provides guidance and recommendations for resources and support as needed.
Family support: A Recovery Support Specialist supports your family to create a balanced, healthy family system for life in recovery. The specialist also offers additional resources as needed, from recovery and support groups to education and information.
Monitoring: Random alcohol and drug screenings add accountability, offering an effective tool for those in early recovery. My Recovery Connection clients consistently report that these tools were a critical component in establishing a strong recovery foundation and rebuilding trust.
Tier 2: Specialized Support and Guidance
A Recovery Support Specialist will set up biweekly phone or video calls to work with you on recovery goals, encourage your progress, and help you navigate challenges as they come up. They can also provide guidance and recommendations for other resources and support.
Family coaching: A Recovery Support Specialist supports your family to create a balanced, healthy family system for life in recovery. The specialist also offers additional resources as needed, from recovery and support groups to education and information.
Monitoring: Random alcohol and drug tests and Soberlink are included at this level of recovery support.
Tier 3: Certified Peer Support without Monitoring
Trained and certified Peer Coaches, in partnership with Heritage CARES, will provide regularly scheduled calls as well as intermittent and/or daily check-ins with you as needed. Your coach helps you maintain recovery by:
- Offering resources.
- Promote accountability.
- Mentor you in developing healthy behaviors.
- Share their own experience.
The trained, certified coaches have at least two solid years in recovery.
Family coaching: Family Peer Coaches, who have at least two years of family recovery experience, work closely with your family to guide them through early recovery, helping them to:
- Define their boundaries.
- Take care of themselves.
- Grow in their recovery process.
