Samantha Smith is the clinical director of Caron’s Grand View Program. Her major responsibility as director is to tailor the program to ensure it meets the needs of the executive population, enhancing clinical programming to ensure the most efficacious treatment and care. She partners and builds relationships with key professionals who support Caron’s mission of Recovery for Life in order to maintain specialized continuity for this population. She also oversees day-to-day clinical programming and staffing.
Samantha has worked for Caron Treatment Centers since January 2008, taking on the job of clinical supervisor for the Grand View Program in 2015 and assuming the role as executive director in 2019.
She has 11 years of experience in the field of substance abuse and addiction treatment, eight of which have been working exclusively with adult men at Caron. In addition to her expertise in substance abuse treatment generally, she specializes in addiction interaction disorder (AID). She also has clinical experience in both motivational interviewing and experiential counseling techniques used to support and affect regulation and emotional sobriety.
Samantha holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Penn State University, as well as credentialing through IITAP as an associate sex addiction therapist. Her experience and training has allowed her to form professional and supportive relationships with many executives and referral sources, providing another level of support for her leadership of the program.
