Eric Lichtenwalner is a behavioral health therapist working with men in the Relapse Program. As a therapist, Eric assesses patients in order to create a personalized treatment plan and provides individual, group, and family therapy.
He has been a therapist with Caron since 2007, working in the Healthcare Professionals Program before taking on his new position. Prior to that, he was a therapist in the Men’s Program. The work inspires him as he sees the transformation that patients and their families go through over the course of treatment and in their lives in recovery.
Eric has worked in the addiction treatment field for more than 20 years. The depth and breadth of his experience working with patients from a variety of backgrounds enable him to meet each new patient as they are with empathy and understanding.
Eric is a certified alcohol and drug counselor, an associate sex addictions therapist, and an associate multiple addictions therapist. He also has a certification in competency in problem gambling. He has a Master of Science in psychology from Nova Southeastern University, Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Shippensburg University, Pennsylvania.
