At Caron, we understand that addiction is complex – as complex as the people and families it affects. Physical, psychological, and spiritual dimensions all play a role in substance abuse disorders. That’s why Caron doesn't just treat drug and alcohol problems, but every related issue that patients and their families face.

More than just a rehab center, Caron is a leading provider of integrated behavioral health treatment.

Drug and alcohol problems are rarely isolated. They go hand-in-hand with co-occurring disorders, like depression, anxiety, trauma-related disorders, and eating disorders, to name just a few. At Caron, we address these issues together with substance abuse, because treatment of co-occurring disorders is vital to patients’ success in treatment and long-term sobriety.

We tailor clinically proven addiction treatment plans to each patient and family member.

We blend the latest evidence-based practices from medicine and psychology with historically proven addiction treatment methods like, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, 12-Step integration, motivational interviewing, addiction counseling, and positive peer culture. Our approach also includes health, fitness, and nutrition; education for patients and their families; and spirituality. Every patient has an integrated, multidisciplinary team of highly trained and credentialed staff members who are full-time and onsite. The team creates personalized treatment plans that are based on each patient’s individual needs.

Family is integral to our process.

At Caron, we believe that the patient is the family and the family is the patient. This means that we’re equally committed to caring for addicts and families. We provide family-specific education and treatment options, including:

  • regular contact with loved ones
  • a separate counselor for the family while the patient is at Caron
  • education on addiction and behavioral health
  • an alumni “buddy family” to depend on for support and understanding
  • intensive treatment programs in the form of Residential Family Restructuring

We treat the mind, the body, and the spirit.

At Caron, we believe that addressing our patients’ core physical, mental, and emotional issues is the only way to reverse  the addiction process. Therefore, we take an evidence-based and holistic approach to treatment and wellness.

  • Mind. Treatment includes individual and group addiction therapy aimed at helping patients develop healthy coping skills and emotional regulation. Therapy also involves education on the complexity of addiction’s effects on the brain, as well as intensive, experiential workshops where patients gain self-insight through role play and hands-on activities. The goal of therapy is to increase self-awareness and self-confidence while providing tools for recovery.
  • Body. The physical part of your work at Caron will include exercise and fitness; nutritional counseling and proper diet; medication, if necessary; and learning daily living skills to promote a healthier approach to wellness.
  • Spirit. We use spirituality as a means to connect to self, others, nature, and one’s own faith.  Drug and alcohol addiction oftentimes disconnects the family from the individual. We focus on reconnecting and strengthening the spirit that lies within the family. Caron utilizes the 12 Steps as part of its integrated approach.

At Caron we promise to...

  • Treat you and your family with respect, dignity and compassion
  • Give you the tools and support you need to achieve Recovery for Life
  • Conduct ourselves with the highest ethical standards
  • Partner with you and your family to create a personalized addiction treatment plan
  • Use research and evidence-based practices that result in the best outcomes
  • Create accessibility through financial assistance
  • Be an advocate on behalf of those suffering in silence

We can help you build a treatment program that meets your needs.
