- In addition to problematic use of alcohol and prescription medications, Caron’s Older Adult program addresses issues of isolation, depression, grief, loss and chronic pain, as well as co-morbid conditions.
- A new study by Caron showed that older adults reported that the majority of health care providers do not talk to them about their use of alcohol and other substances.
- As reported in the New York Times, substance use is seen with increasing frequency among seniors, resulting in increased hospitalizations and complications.
