Distinguished Honoree:  John Gallen

John Gallen is the founder and owner of Ethosource, LLC, a Reading-based office furniture manufacturer and dealer. Since launching the business in 2001 with only a laptop and an innovative concept, he has grown Ethosource into a nationally serving company with more than 60 employees. He is also the owner and President of Wyatt Seating, an office seating manufacturer.

John and his wife, Lisa, are guided by the mission to “Give where we live.” John has built his companies around service to the community. Ethosource provides office furnishings and support to numerous nonprofits, including the Reading YMCA, Safe Berks, Opportunity House, Helping Harvest, Olivet Boys & Girls Club, the Reading Public Museum, Hope Rescue Mission, and the Reading Public Library.

John has demonstrated a deep and sustained commitment to Caron’s mission of transforming lives. He has supported Caron philanthropically, served as a trusted ambassador, and helped expand awareness of its programs, impact, and reach. Through his generosity, leadership, and engagement, he has advanced Caron’s ability to help more patients and families find lasting recovery.

John is a member of the Caron Foundation Board of Trustees and has long been an active partner in supporting Caron’s strategic priorities and mission-driven work across Berks County and beyond.

John also serves on the boards of Alvernia University and the Olivet Boys & Girls Club. He previously chaired the United Way of Berks County Pacesetter Cabinet, served on the boards of the Reading YMCA, the Greater Reading Chamber of Commerce, and the Greater Reading Economic Partnership, and dedicated more than a decade in service to the Borough of Wyomissing as both an elected council member and finance committee member.

Beyond his professional achievements, John is an avid hiker, climber, pilgrim, and world traveler. His mountaineering and walking pilgrimages have taken him across six continents—from Everest Base Camp, Camp 2 on Mt. Everest, and Mt. Aconcagua, to historic routes including the Way of St. James, the Via Francigena, the Cotswold Way, and the Tour du Mont Blanc.

John and his wife, Lisa, live in Wyomissing Hills. They are proud parents to Sam, Director of Individual Giving at Brady United in Washington, D.C., and Nat, Vice President at Wyatt Seating. John attended Villanova University and graduated from Georgetown University with a Bachelor of Science in Languages and Linguistics.

We are proud to honor John for his leadership, generosity, and unwavering dedication to walking a true Path of Purpose.

Partner in Recovery: Savant Wealth Management

For nearly 40 years, Savant Wealth Management has served as a trusted advisor to established individuals, families, and businesses seeking clarity and confidence in their financial lives. The firm’s name, rooted in the Latin word sapere, meaning “to be wise,” reflects its commitment to evidence-based investing and decision-making informed by deep knowledge. Savant operates as a fee-only, independent fiduciary wealth management firm providing comprehensive guidance across investments, financial planning, tax and business consulting, estate planning, trust services, and family office support. At the heart of the organization is a culture of lifelong learning that values curiosity, continuous improvement, and the pursuit of an ideal future with purpose and discipline.

Savant’s partnership with Caron is informed by the longstanding involvement of Domani Wealth Management, which for many years served as a valued partner to Caron Treatment Centers and helped foster meaningful relationships in our region. In 2023, Domani Wealth Management was acquired by Savant Wealth Management, and throughout that transition the relationship with Caron remained strong.

Tom Williams, who has long been connected with Caron through his leadership at Domani and now at Savant, continues to serve with dedication as a member of Caron’s Corporate Board of Trustees. His thoughtful involvement, generosity, and strategic guidance have helped further Caron’s efforts in community engagement, outreach, and philanthropic growth. Through Tom’s stewardship, Savant’s legacy of support has contributed to Caron’s ability to deepen relationships, strengthen awareness, and advance mission-driven work that supports lasting recovery.

Caron is proud to honor Savant Wealth Management for their leadership, dedicated service, and enduring impact on the patients, families, and communities we serve.

CELEBRATION DETAILS

Dear Friends of Caron,

I invite you to join us in supporting the 2026 Richard J. Caron Award of Excellence celebration on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Reading, Pennsylvania. On this evening, we will come together to celebrate Caron’s mission and impact and reflect on the theme that shapes this year’s event, A Path of Purpose. This theme honors the meaningful journey that recovery makes possible.

Caron stands at the intersection of innovation and exceptional care, built upon a rich history of service, recovery, and community support. Guided by evidence-based treatment, a commitment to advancing the science of addiction care, and an unwavering belief in the potential of every person, Caron delivers life changing treatment to those affected by substance use disorder. Throughout its history, Caron’s impact has extended far beyond its campuses, bringing hope, healing, and the possibility of a fulfilling life in recovery to patients and families across our region and our nation.

This year, we are proud to recognize John Gallen with the Richard J. Caron Award of Excellence. John has demonstrated a deep and enduring commitment to advancing Caron’s mission. As a philanthropic leader, trusted ambassador, and member of Caron's Board of Trustees, he has championed Caron’s programs, strategic initiatives, and vision throughout Berks County and beyond. John exemplifies purpose driven leadership and a belief that recovery transforms lives, values that lie at the heart of this award.

We are also honored to recognize Savant Wealth Management with the 2026 Partner in Recovery Award. Savant Wealth Management has been a thoughtful and generous partner to Caron, offering meaningful support of our mission and helping to strengthen relationships shaped by shared purpose, recovery focused impact, and the spirit of community minded leadership. Their engagement reflects a shared conviction that every individual deserves access to care, support, and the opportunity to find a healthy and hopeful path forward.

Funds raised at this celebration will directly advance Caron’s mission and expand its impact by providing scholarship assistance, programmatic resources, and clinical innovation. This support ensures that more patients and families have access to the care they need. I hope you will join me by becoming an event sponsor and helping Caron continue to change lives. Sponsorship opportunities and benefits are outlined in the following pages.

Thank you for your support, your partnership, and your generosity. I look forward to celebrating with you on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at the DoubleTree by Hilton Reading as we honor our award recipients and celebrate Caron’s mission and impact.

Sincerely,
Mike McGlinn
