A Celebration of Family and Recovery

We are pleased to invite you to join the Caron community for an extraordinary celebration of Family and Recovery. The 27th Annual Richard J. Caron Award of Excellence Gala on Thursday, November 5, 2026, will take place at the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts in Philadelphia. This fundraiser aims to raise $1 million to support critical programs and services that save lives and restore families.

The Richard J. Caron Award of Excellence will be presented to Richard I. Moore, for his commitment to the recovery community, his generosity of spirit, and his dedication to paying it forward. Through his partnership with Caron, Richard has supported scholarship initiatives including the Panther East Partial Hospitalization Program Fund and the Family Education Fund, helping patients access continued care and enabling loved ones to participate in Caron's transformative Family Education Program. He serves as a 12-step contact for patients leaving treatment and served for many years on Caron's Greater Philadelphia Regional Advisory Board, as well as the National Alumni Leadership Council. Richard demonstrates the compassion and support exemplified by Caron's founders, Dick and Catherine Caron, as they made helping others a priority.
