As Vice President of Development, Sue Borelli oversees development operations, donor acknowledgement, and gift processing for Caron Pennsylvania and Caron Florida as well as Caron’s regional offices. She also manages the major gift and planned giving programs and provides support to the chief development officer and president for their fundraising activities.

The core of the work Sue does at Caron is to ensure that alumni and families can stay engaged with Caron and support recovery for future Caron patients. We have the most amazing individuals supporting Caron’s mission.

She keeps them up to date on new, innovative programs, treatment, research, and facilities at Caron so that they can match their philanthropic interests to specific Caron needs or activities. She also has the ability to work with a family’s circle of professionals including financial planners, attorneys, and accountants to help maximize the impact of their philanthropic gift.

Sue is passionate about Caron’s mission, having experienced in her own family the devastation that substance use disorder can cause. Helping families to heal from loss and helping others to celebrate recovery through philanthropy is what makes her most proud of the work she does.

She came to Caron in 2006 to work in the development office, after seventeen years in higher education. She took on her current role in 2016. She has a bachelor’s degree in communications and English literature from Albright College and a master’s degree in business administration from Lebanon Valley College.
