Shayana Celmer

Shay's work includes supervising and supporting her staff, managing scheduling and administrative tasks, and helping patients in crisis if therapists are not available. As needed, she also updates families on how patients are doing.

The connection Shay has with patients in this role and as a behavioral health technician gives her a deep respect for the work patients do in treatment to make difficult and profound changes to their lives. She also appreciates the opportunity to encourage her staff to create and achieve career and personal goals.

Shay came to Caron in 2018 as a behavioral health technician and moved into her current role as a supervisor in 2021. Because she has worked in every program at Caron Pennsylvania, she has an in-depth understanding of Caron’s procedures and experience in dealing with every kind of situation that comes up.

She has a Bachelor of Science in psychology from Penn State, Berks County and an associate degree in psychology from Harrisburg Area Community College. Shay is a certified allied addiction practitioner.
