John Post, Jr.

John Post oversees the daily operations and clinical staff of Caron’s Signature programs, encompassing the Grand View, Older Adult , and Legal Professionals programs.

Prior to taking on this role, John was the Executive Director for Caron’s Grand View and Legal Professionals Programs, providing clinical oversight to daily operations, counselor development and oversight of supervisory staff. A clinician by trade, John has worked within Caron’s clinical silo since 2012 as a therapist and, more recently, as Caron’s resident interventionist and Clinical Resource Director. His clinical expertise includes professional and practical integration of 12-step applications, relapse prevention, family systems theory, recovery coaching, treatment of co-occurring disorders, and specialty programming for the Executive and Healthcare Professionals programs. John’s workshops and lectures are critically acclaimed and widely regarded as marquee Caron programming presentations.

A gifted clinician with a natural feel for helping others, John has introduced many Caron alumni to recovery fellowships all over the United States. John has served on the Berks County, Pennsylvania, and Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, Heroin TASC Forces, promoting awareness of the heroin epidemic in local communities.

Before coming to Caron, John worked as an Assistant Vice President of Post Precision Castings, Inc., a Quantitative/Qualitative Analyst at Evergreen Investments, and a Business Development Officer at Winterhawk Energy and Development Corporation, LLC.

John’s Bachelor of Arts degree is from West Virginia University. John holds a Master of Arts (MA) in Community Counseling from Alvernia University. He also has a Master of Science (MS) in Global Marketing and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Business Management Strategy, both from Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia. John is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), a Certified Clinical Supervisor (CCS), a Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC) and a Certified Intervention Professional (CIP) through the Pennsylvania Certification Board.
