John Post, Jr.
John Post is the Clinical Director for Caron’s Grand View Men’s treatment program in Pennsylvania.
Throughout his tenure at Caron, John has worked within the clinical silo as an Addictions Counselor (I, II and III) and most recently as Caron’s Clinical Resource Director, where he worked as a clinical interventionist – both internally and externally facing to help families and loved ones find recovery.
A gifted clinician with a natural feel for helping others, John has introduced many Caron alumni to recovery fellowships all over the United States. John’s clinical expertise includes professional and practical integration of Twelve Step applications, Relapse Prevention, Family Systems Theory, Recovery Coaching, the treatment of Co-Occurring Disorders and Specialty programming for Healthcare Professionals - working closely with State Monitoring/Medical Associations.
John is a Caron alumnus and has been in recovery since November 2008. John has served on the Berks County, PA and Lancaster County, PA Heroin TASC Forces, promoting awareness for the heroin epidemic in local communities. He is a Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC) and a Certified Intervention Professional (CIP) through the Pennsylvania Certification Board.
Prior to joining Caron, John worked as Assistant Vice President of Post Precision Castings, Inc., a Quantitative/Qualitative Analyst at Evergreen Investments and served as a Business Development Officer at Winterhawk Energy and Development Corporation, LLC.
John holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from West Virginia University, a Master of Science in Global Marketing from Saint Joseph’s University, a Master of Arts in Community Counseling from Alvernia University and an MBA in Business Management Strategy from Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia.
In his free time, John enjoys playing golf and spending time with his two dogs – Jada and Beans.
