Jason Shaw is an IOP Therapist at Caron Renaissance, a role he took on in 2018. He joined Caron in 2010 as a primary therapist.
Seeing patients build confidence and realize that they have a life worth living make his job worthwhile. His understanding of how the disease of addiction progresses motivates his work in helping patients overcome their addiction.

He is well trained and knowledgeable in multiple therapeutic styles and approaches, including cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing. He has been extensively trained in and uses dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), which has been proven particularly effective for treating substance use disorder. He was part of the team that developed and implemented the DBT program at Caron Renaissance.
Before coming to Caron, he worked for four years with chemically dependent teens and young adults at a treatment facility in Ohio. He is an internationally certified alcohol and drug counselor as well as a certified addiction counselor through the Florida Certification Board.
