Jason Shaw is an Intensive Outpatient Therapist at Caron Renaissance, a role he began in 2020.
With proper training in multiple therapeutic styles and approaches, he is and knowledge in cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and motivational interviewing. Jason has been extensively trained in using dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), which has been proven particularly effective for treating substance use disorder and emotional disorders. In fact, he was part of the team that developed and implemented the Dialectical Behavioral Therapy Program at Caron Renaissance.
He is an internationally certified alcohol and drug counselor, a certified addiction counselor through the Florida Certification Board, as well as a certified alcohol and drug counselor through the Pennsylvania Certification Board.
Jason joined Caron in 2010, has served as a primary therapist, and most recently was the clinical supervisor of support services prior to taking on his current position. Prior to Caron, he worked for four years with chemically dependent teens and young adults at a treatment facility in Ohio.
