As Executive Director of Florida Operations, Ben oversees and manages the Florida continuum of programming, including Ocean Drive, Renaissance, Mental Health and Professional Program and the Keele Medical Center. Ben’s primary focus is on business operations and operationalizing new programming in the Florida continuum.
Ben strongly believes in developing and training the team in Florida to their full potential and utilizing their skill sets in ways that best benefit the employee, Caron, and the team. Having benefited from this himself in his own career at Caron, Ben believes that some of most talented individuals can be grown from within an organization with support from the leadership and management teams.
He started at Caron Ocean Drive in 2015 as a counselor assistant and was able to expand his role by learning both the clinical and operational aspects of Ocean Drive, taking on the roles of evening operations manager and program manager at various times. Through that work, he developed in-depth knowledge of how best to approach patient care.
In his career before Caron, he was a senior account executive for a local automotive agency where he managed over 20 different dealership accounts as well as a team of account executives. That job helped him develop an attention to detail and an ability to keep track of diverse needs and multiple projects that he makes use of in his current role.
Ben has a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in healthcare management from Bellevue University. He also holds bachelor’s degrees in communications and economics from Roger Williams University.
