Anna Green is the Lead Mental Health Clinician for the Caron Florida Mental Health Program. Anna supports program development and operations and the program’s clinical team, ensuring the best patient care is being delivered. Alongside her programmatic duties, Anna is the primary therapist helping patients accomplish their treatment goals.
Before coming to Caron in 2022, Anna was an assistant clinical director at an addiction treatment center in Northern California. She has more than seven years of experience as a psychotherapist in the education, addiction, palliative care, and mental health fields. Originally from the United Kingdom, Anna is trained in mentalization-based treatment (MBT) and art therapy. Before moving to the United States, she worked in an adult mental health inpatient hospital with patients diagnosed with psychotic disorders or borderline personality disorder.
Anna has a Master of Arts in art therapy from the University of Hertfordshire, United Kingdom, and a Bachelor of Arts in fine art from Nottingham Trent University, United Kingdom. She is a qualified MBT practitioner trained at the Anna Freud National Center for Children and Families, United Kingdom. Anna also wrote a chapter, “Group and individual art therapy with a sexually inappropriate patient in an NHS low-secure unit,” for Arts Therapies and Sexual Offending, a book published in the United Kingdom in 2021.
