Amanda Bassos

Amanda Bassos is the Regional Resource Director for Florida.

She is well versed in both Caron Treatment Center’s continuum of services and the treatment resources available in her region. With access to Caron's clinical experts, her knowledge of treatment programs, therapeutic modalities, and her experience as a therapist, she is able to meet the needs of individuals, families, and behavioral health professionals.

Amanda's goal is to support individuals and families in need of treatment to find a program that will help build a foundation for Recovery for Life. Amanda works in close consultation with Caron’s clinical and medical leadership, assists with admissions to Caron’s programs, and collaborates with Caron’s case specialists to ensure appropriate discharge planning. Additionally, Amanda engages with clinical and medical professionals across the state and supports the training and other educational opportunities provided by Caron’s experienced and highly credentialed treatment team.

Prior to joining Caron, Amanda worked within the greater South Florida Community, often developing, collaborating, and maintaining professional relationships with expert providers, programs, and agencies. In her work as a primary therapist, she provided clinical and behavioral care for children, adolescents, older adults, and families working with mental health, trauma, and addiction diagnosis. The extensive trauma training she received has helped her approach individuals with a trauma-informed perspective.

Amanda is a registered mental health counselor intern (RMHCI) with a Master of Science in applied clinical psychology: mental health counseling from Lynn University in Boca Raton, Florida.

She can be reached at abassos@caron.org or 954-816-3114.
