How does it work?

As soon as concerned parents contact Caron Pennsylvania, they’re put in touch with an approved Caron Family Network Volunteer. Volunteers, who also have a child in treatment, share valuable information, provide support, and help parents navigate the treatment process. Before and throughout the treatment process, they're available to answer questions, such as:

  • How do I tell if my son or daughter has a substance abuse problem?
  • My child will not listen to me when I talk about his or her drug or alcohol use; how do I intervene and get them help?
  • How do I determine what type of substance abuse treatment is best for my child?
  • My child is in treatment. Now what do I do for the rest of my family and myself?
  • My child is getting ready to come home from treatment. How can I prepare for their return home and support their recovery?
