The Cycle of Addiction

The teen brain is constantly developing. For this reason, the younger a person is when they begin using substances, the more vulnerable he or she is to addiction. The Cycle of Addiction workshop educates professionals on the science behind addiction, as well as the physical, emotional and behavioral symptoms that manifest in teens during each stage of use— from early experimentation to chemical dependency. The workshop also teaches participants how to connect students who struggle with drug abuse or addiction to the help they need.
