The Character EffectTM teaches that social-emotional skills are foundational for learning and for life. Students benefit from research-based SEL curriculum that supports college and career readiness goals in the classroom. The grade-specific modules are designed to develop high school students in areas like:

  • Teamwork
  • Leadership
  • Critical Thinking
  • Communication
  • Personal Responsibility
  • Equity And Inclusion

All while remaining anchored by strengths, mindfulness, and intentional practices.

How the Character Effect™ program will be run in your school:

  • Grades 9-12 lessons are designed to be taught once a week for six to eight weeks. This can be tailored to the specific needs of your school schedule.
  • Duration of each lesson is 30-45 minutes. This also can be tailored to the needs of your school’s daily schedule.
  • Classroom teachers are encouraged to remain in the classroom during facilitation of each lesson. This helps with reinforcement of concepts throughout the school day.

About the facilitators
