Student Assistance Program (SAP)
Caron’s Student Assistance Program (SAP) is a leader in providing alcohol, tobacco and other drug education and prevention services to guide students to healthy, productive living. Caron partners with institutions of learning, families, communities, and other organizations to provide customized services to meet the unique needs of all.
Each year more than 64,000 students, teachers and parents benefit from SAP programming. SAP uses evidence-based programs and practices and is involved in field advancement research. Consistently, SAP maintains a satisfaction rating of 95-100%.
SAP services for students include:
- Psycho-educational support groups
- Prevention and assessment services
- Youth Tobacco Cessation Program – Project CONNECT
- Kids of Promise (KOP) –students affected by a loved one’s addiction
- Peer leadership
- Higher education

- The Other Talk
- Lifeskills Training
Caron’s SAP department also provides professional trainings, as well as faculty in-service trainings and topics throughout the school year.
