Reverend Zoë Hill

Rev. Zoë Hill is the program director of the Clinical Pastoral Education Program at Caron. The program gives seminary students or those who have a calling to ministry practical hands-on experience in offering spiritual care to patients with a substance use disorder or behavioral addiction.

As the director, Rev. Zoë oversees the program, coordinates the students’ education and experiences, and provides supervision and support. “As someone who came into this work because of the support I received during my clinical pastoral education,” she says, “I hope to provide that same nurturing and support for students as they discern what their specific ministries will be.”

She came to Caron in 2012 as a spiritual counselor, moved into the position of lead spiritual counselor and then director of spiritual care, before taking on this role in 2020.

Providing spiritual counseling to patients continues to inspire her love for the work she does. “Listening to people tell their stories and seeing the shifts in perspective, the clearer understanding of who they are, and the deeper connections to themselves, others, and a sense of hope is the best part of this job.”

Rev. Zoë is ordained with the Universal Fellowship Metropolitan Community Churches and is a board-certified chaplain through the Association of Professional Chaplains (APC) and the Board of Chaplaincy Certification Inc. (BCCI).
