Thomas McDermitt

With a career at Caron that began in 2004, including a role as Senior Director of Clinical Administration, Tom has in-depth knowledge of Caron’s programs, operations, and clinical expertise. He can answer referents’ questions, offer consultations with patients and families, provide resources and referrals, and give tours of Caron programs. He has a thorough understanding of the patient experience at Caron, can describe what treatment is like, and provide information about its services both during and post treatment.

Tom also relies on 17 years of project management experience in the airline industry, which he applies to find the best approaches for referents’ clients, solutions to problems as they may arise, and resources to meet the unique needs of the individual – whether it is at Caron or elsewhere.

He has been in recovery since 1995. Attending retreats at Caron soon after treatment shifted his perspective on recovery and treatment. It gave him his calling to help others access the expertise and compassion he has found at Caron.
