Sydney Holzer is a compassionate and skilled primary therapist with the Caron Florida Core Programs. With a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lynn University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from The Ohio State University, Sydney brings a strong academic foundation and hands-on experience to her role.
In her position, Sydney provides both individual and group therapy, developing personalized treatment plans that empower patients to achieve long-term recovery, sobriety, and mental wellness. Her therapeutic approach is rooted in evidence-based practices, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, solution-focused brief therapy, and person-centered therapy.
Sydney believes that the therapeutic relationship is the cornerstone of successful recovery. She is dedicated to fostering trust, openness, and collaboration with her patients, creating a safe and supportive environment for healing. Passionate about psychoeducation, Sydney equips her patients with the knowledge they need to thrive while continuously advancing her own expertise through ongoing education and training.
Before stepping into her current role, Sydney served as a clinical graduate intern at Caron, where she gained invaluable experience working with diverse client populations in a partial-hospitalization mental health setting. Sydney is a National Certified Counselor (NCC) and is actively pursuing LMHC licensure. She is also a Certified Suicide Prevention Gatekeeper and holds Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED certification.
Sydney is passionate about guiding individuals on their journeys of self-discovery and growth, and she feels privileged to be part of their healing process. Her genuine empathy, active listening, and ability to identify patterns in patients’ lives make her an invaluable asset to the Caron team.
