As lead recovery advocate, Sean Sherrod manages, supports, and guides recovery advocates. He is primarily responsible for training and supervising them as they assist patients in transitioning from treatment, with its clinical support, to recovery, able to manage themselves in order to live healthy lives.
Sean is dedicated to patients and their recovery and to Caron’s core values founded on restoring health, hope, spirituality, and relationships. Working in a trauma-informed environment has honed his communications style, making it more effective and empathetic. In helping his team to develop grow, and succeed, he contributes to the patients’ successful treatment, foundational to lifelong recovery for themselves and their families. He also coordinates scheduling and transportation to the local Islamic Center for Muslim patients.
He is a certified allied addiction practitioner. Before taking on this position in 2024, Sean was a behavioral health administrator for eight years. He came to Caron in 2004 as a counselor’s assistant. Prior to Caron, Sean worked in a similar treatment setting with individuals who were being released from incarceration.
