Samantha McComsey
BA, CADC
Samantha McComsey is a Recovery Support Specialist at Caron, bringing over two decades of dedicated experience to supporting individuals and their families through every stage of the recovery process. She is deeply passionate about witnessing the transformation that occurs when people discover themselves and their relationships through the new lens of recovery. For more than 20 years, watching despair turn to hope has been the driving force behind her commitment to the addiction treatment field.
Samantha's extensive career with Caron began in 2008. She grew professionally within the organization, advancing from a therapist to a clinical director, where she gained comprehensive insight into patient care and program leadership. In 2021, she briefly departed to develop a specialized executive treatment program for another center, further expanding her expertise. She returned to Caron in 2024, contributing her skills to the Education Alliance department before transitioning into her new role.
Throughout her various roles, Samantha has developed a profound understanding of the disease of addiction. Her training in behavioral and process addictions provides her with the critical skills to identify potential addiction substitutions in early sobriety, offering a more complete continuum of care. She firmly believes in the unmatched quality of care provided at Caron and feels honored to work with clients during what is often the most difficult time in their lives, always leading with compassion and understanding. She is excited to continue to support clients in applying their newfound skills for continued growth after treatment.
Samantha earned her Bachelor of Arts in Applied Psychology from Penn State University and is a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC).
