Russ Kline

Russ Kline facilitates the Peak Performance Prevention Program, which educates athletes, parents, and coaches on how substances can affect athletic performance and offers healthy alternative strategies.

He leads small and large group presentations and workshops as well as leadership training, team building, mental health awareness, and positive communication skills. He also provides drug and alcohol assessments and substance education classes for colleges and universities.

Russ finds it easy to relate to kids and teens, building rapport and trust, something that he also made use of during his 30 years in the social work field. In addition, his more than 30 years of coaching experience have given him an in-depth understanding of what athletes, coaches, and parents need and how to talk with them.

He has been with Caron Treatment Centers since 2018. Before coming to Caron, he worked for various child service agencies in Pennsylvania, as a social worker and child advocate. In addition to his coaching experience, Russ was the athletic director for the Conrad Weiser School District for four years.

In 2007, Russ received Caron’s Community Service Award for Education and in 2013 was a member of the Conrad Weiser baseball coaching staff that won the Pennsylvania State Championship.

Russ has a Master of Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, and a Bachelor of Science in individual and family studies from Pennsylvania State University, University Park. He is a certified home and school visitor and a certified Student Assistance Program professional.
