Rev. Christina Scornavacchi

Rev. Tina Scornavacchi holds a sacred space for patients in her role as spiritual counselor, enabling them to see life through a different lens than that of addiction. By talking with rather than to them, Rev. Tina allows her patients to feel heard and safe.

She employs a number of therapeutic and spiritual techniques, including emotional freedom, neuro-linguistic programming, and relaxation. She teaches mindfulness meditation and provides spiritual lectures and educational presentations on topics such as the Big Book of AA studies and grief and loss.

Rev. Tina took on this position in 2015, after attending seminary for two years. She came to Caron in 2002 to work as a behavioral health technician and then as a life skills counselor.

Prior to working at Caron, Rev. Tina was a Montessori teacher and created an infant/toddler program for the school. She has written two books for children, Star Kisses for You and Sun Kisses for You, which offer hope and inspiration for children of all ages and faith traditions. The books are used at Caron in the Satell Family Children and Teens Program.

Rev. Tina is an advanced addictions counselor and an ordained minister through the One Spirit Interfaith Seminary. She is currently enrolled in Caron’s Clinical Pastoral Education Program, working toward her chaplaincy certification.
