Dr. Randal Mullings

As Clinical Director, Dr. Randal Mullings provides supervision and management for Ocean Drive clinical staff and shapes clinical programming.

Dr. Mullings also works to enhance and expand programming at both Caron Ocean Drive and Caron Renaissance.

He is driven in his work by a deep-seated passion for helping the families and friends of those struggling with addiction. His command of family systems therapy coupled with his clinical sophistication, creativity, and client-centered approach have been key factors in propelling the success of Ocean Drive since its inception. Dr. Mullings has been a regular contributor to Caron’s blog, created and overseen tailor-made programs suited for each family system, and restructured existing family services to ensure that every family member receives the support they need.

Dr. Mullings began his career with Caron in the role of family therapist at Caron Renaissance in 2010 and taking on the position as Director of Family Services at Caron Ocean Drive in 2012. His educational background and keen understanding of family systems provided the experience and expertise he employed in his work.

Before he entered the addiction treatment field, Dr. Mullings worked at various community mental health centers, the Broward County School Board, and in the family court system. This rich background allowed him to observe firsthand the impact of substance abuse on both the individual and family members.

Dr. Mullings is a licensed mental health counselor. He holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology, a master’s degree in mental health counseling, and a doctoral degree in marriage and family therapy.
