Nathan Swinney

In this role he helps patients and families transition to a new environment, engages with patients who are under the influence, and handles crisis situations. He works closely with nursing, clinical, and admissions staff in order to ensure the highest quality care for patients.

He took on this position in 2024, having worked at Caron since 2018, first as a behavioral health technician, then as a lead technician. Before coming to Caron, Nathan worked in psychiatric facilities helping with de-escalation and coping skills, and managing crisis situations. This experience enables him to assist individuals coming into treatment at Caron with co-occurring disorders or those in a state of psychosis. He also worked in group homes for several years, gaining an in-depth knowledge of residential care.

He is a certified allied addiction practitioner (CAAP).
