As the Director of Special Events and Stewardship, Julie Flannery is responsible for increasing awareness and leading engagement initiatives among key supporters.

Julie oversees donor prospect research, major gift prospect management, and development support materials, including the annual report and cases for support. With her strong background in business development, she manages and coordinates all major business development events and continuing education programs.

Before transitioning to her role, Julie served the Corporate Director of Sales and Advertising strategy for a year. Previously, she was a Senior Regional Resource Director, responsible for the Philadelphia Main Line, Southern New Jersey, and Delaware and managed teams in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C. She assisted referents, patients, and families with admissions, providing information about programs and services, and consulting with them to determine the services that are best for their situation.

She began her career at Caron as a Business Development Officer in 2015. Before coming to Caron, she worked in similar roles with other treatment centers, amassing experience and skills in marketing, patient services and support, and admissions. She has worked closely with referents, patients, and families since 2011. Julie is a Certified Allied Addiction Practitioner (CAAP) and has a bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, and finance from Salisbury University.
