Jess Ayer

Regional Resource Director for Maryland

Jess Ayer is the Regional Resource Director serving Maryland where she assists referents, patients, and families with admissions to any Caron facility. She provides answers regarding programs and services as well as resources and referrals.

As a formally trained clinical social worker, she has nearly a decade of experience in clinical work where she gained a deep understanding of the needs of patients and families and is well versed in the work therapists and other mental health professionals provide.

Jess applies her rich background to Caron’s therapeutic approach, equipping her with the tools and training to listen to patients and families so she can give them direction and resources for their unique needs.

Since taking on the role of Regional Resource Director in 2019, Jess has focused on expanding access to Caron’s evidence-based, patient-centric treatment programs and services by reaching out to new mental health providers and building relationships with them. She also offers presentations about Caron, substance use, and mental health.

She is a licensed social worker-clinical and a board-certified clinical supervisor. She has a Master of Social Work from the University of South Carolina and a Bachelor of Science in psychology from Towson University, Maryland.
