Greg Deysher

Greg Deysher is the director of nursing, a supervisory role in which he ensures that nursing staff meets Caron’s standards for high-quality, personalized, and respectful care.

He is equally dedicated to supporting his staff of nurses, mental health technicians, and certified nursing assistants, and ensuring high morale and job satisfaction. “One of my favorite parts of this job is advocating for my staff. I think about the messages I wanted to be passed on when I was a staff nurse, and now I can do that for the staff that works for me,” he says. In addition, he oversees and improves medical processes to sustain high-quality nursing care. Greg also maintains vendor relationships with pharmacies, labs, and other suppliers.

Greg worked at Caron from 2001 until 2009 in the recreation department, before going to nursing school and working at Reading Hospital and the Surgical Institute of Reading. With eight years of experience at Caron, he built a well-rounded foundation for his current position through being in contact with all of the departments, and their patients and staff from multiple programs.

In 2013, he returned to Caron as a nurse in the detox unit and moved into a nursing position with the Men’s Program. He became a nursing supervisor in 2017 and assistant director of nursing in January 2020, taking on the job as director in April 2020.

Greg has a Bachelor of Science degree from York College and a nursing degree from Reading Hospital School of Health Sciences.
