Lead Behavioral Health Therapist
Edward Martin

Edward Martin has worked in the field of addiction for more than 20 years, currently as a lead therapist in the Partial Hospitalization Program.

In his role, Ed develops treatment plans, provides individual and group therapy, offers support and education to families, and prepares patients for their lives in recovery.

As he guides his patients, Ed helps them overcome shame and restore family relationships. The goal of his work is to support his patients in discovering a sense of peace, well-being, and connectedness that can ground them in a healthy recovery.

Before taking on this role in 2024, Ed was a lead therapist in the Men's Program. He began working at Caron in 2012 as a counselor for teen and young adult men, before moving into the Spiritual Care Department, leading chapel services and grief/loss groups, and providing spiritual care counseling while working as a counselor.

He is a certified alcohol and drug counselor with a master’s degree in pastoral care with a focus on crisis intervention.

To bring my life experience, empathy, and understanding to the work of helping patients build their resilience, nurture healthy relationships, and find meaning gives me great satisfaction.”
