Edward Martin has worked in the field of addiction for more than 20 years, currently as a behavioral health therapist in the Men’s Relapse Program.
In his role, Ed develops treatment plans, provides individual and group therapy, offers support and education to families, and prepares patients for their next steps after inpatient treatment.
As he guides his patients through the recovery process, Ed helps them overcome shame and restore family relationships. The goal of his work is to support his patients in discovering a sense of peace, well-being, and connectedness that can ground them in a healthy recovery.
Ed began working at Caron in 2012 as a counselor for teen and young adult men, before moving into the Spiritual Care Department, leading chapel services and grief/loss groups, and providing spiritual care counseling while working as a counselor. He joined the Men’s Program in 2019.
He is a certified alcohol and drug counselor with a master’s degree in pastoral care with a focus on crisis intervention.
To bring my life experience, empathy, and understanding to the work of helping patients build their resilience, nurture healthy relationships, and find meaning gives me great satisfaction.”
