Dr. Amalie Derdeyn
As a recovery-informed executive coach, Amalie Derdeyn gives her clients space and support to uncover their potential. The most transformative moments in her coaching experience have come when a client sees that they have the power to make changes in their lives after believing for years that the changes they sought were impossible.
She takes a client-led approach, enabling them to fulfill the goals they have for themselves, personally, professionally, and in recovery. By helping clients to understand how they can manage their minds, she opens them up to possibility, to create the life they envision, overcoming obstacles and self-defeating beliefs.
In addition to coaching, Amalie is a physician with 20 years of experience, most recently having completed a fellowship in addiction medicine. She is also in recovery herself. These dual experiences strengthen her coaching relationships, building trust and connection with her clients. Amalie is knowledgeable about how addiction affects the brain and the healing needed to recover from substance use disorder and understands what it is like to take back responsibility for your life and the rewards that brings.
Amalie is a trained life coach, certified at the Life Coach School. She has a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Virginia School of Medicine, where she also completed a residency in dermatology and an internship in internal medicine.
