David Almeida joined Caron in 2010 as a primary therapist, providing individual and group counseling to clients along with crisis intervention, education, and skills training.
He specializes in anger management as well as both individual and group counseling. He has seen the application of Caron’s clinical philosophy develop consistency and accountability, which enables deep healing, in patients and their families.
He is grateful for the relationships with patients and families that develop and continue as they create lives in recovery. “I get notes telling me that they have reached one or more of their life goals, invitations to weddings, emails describing their accomplishments. Even when we don’t see immediate outcomes, the seeds often get planted here and patients attribute our treatment to getting them up on their own two feet,” he says.
Prior to joining Caron, David interned and then worked at another treatment center as a primary therapist for two years. He is a licensed clinical social worker with a master’s degree in social work from Barry University in Florida.
