Charles Malcolm

Charlie Malcolm is a primary therapist in Caron Florida's Older Adult Program, providing individual therapy, facilitating group therapy, and offering education about substance use disorder. He also works with families, providing case management and suggesting resources for aftercare to ensure a foundation for long-term recovery.

Prior to taking on this role in 2023, Charlie was the clinical admissions supervisor for Caron Florida for two years, assisting families to find the best-fit treatment program for their needs and goals. He came to Caron in 2017 as a counselor assistant at Ocean Drive and then moved into a role as case specialist for Caron Renaissance. He volunteered at Caron for a year before becoming a counselor assistant.

Before coming to Caron, Charlie held a variety of positions that honed his listening skills, patience, and empathy, including in hospitality management and the restaurant business as well as several years as an electrician.

He is a certified allied addiction counselor, with a Master of Social Work from Florida Atlantic University, Boca Raton. He has a Bachelor of Business Administration from Strayer University, Washington, DC.
