Brian Hofsass

Brian Hofsass is a Primary Therapist at Caron with over 25 years of extensive experience in treating substance use disorder. He has held
multiple roles throughout his career, including therapist, clinical supervisor, and administrator across all levels of care.

Brian blends his deep clinical background with his personal recovery experience, which began as a patient at Caron. This unique perspective provides him with a profound understanding of the challenges clients face, enhancing his ability to offer empathetic and insightful care. He connects with clients on a deeper level, providing compassionate and effective treatment.

As a primary therapist, Brian provides individual therapy, leads group sessions, and coordinates aftercare planning for patients. He utilizes evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing, while also incorporating the principles of the 12-Step framework to support clients on their recovery journey.

For Brian, the most rewarding aspect of his work is witnessing patients reclaim their lives and seeing that personal growth catalyzes the rebuilding of family relationships.

Brian earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Shippensburg University and is currently pursuing a master’s in applied psychology at the same institution. He is a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) and a Certified Clinical Supervisor (CCS) through the Pennsylvania Certification Board.
