As director of foundations and government grants, Bonnie Soriano is responsible for advancing Caron’s fundraising efforts through securing private, corporate, and government grants for the organization’s programmatic, capital, and financial aid initiatives.
She brings over 15 years of nonprofit and fundraising experience with her to Caron. Bonnie began professional grant writing over a decade ago. Prior to joining Caron in 2022, Bonnie served as the director of community engagement for the Foundation for Health Equity, working closely with local nonprofits seeking funding in support of their missions in northwest Philadelphia. From 2016 through 2021, she served as the director of corporate and foundation relations at La Salle University, Philadelphia, and from 2014 to 2016, as the director of corporate and foundation relations at the Gesu School in North Philadelphia.
Bonnie’s professional career is founded on a commitment to mission-driven work, transitioning from teaching in Connecticut and New York, to program development and management in Philadelphia to focusing on supporting organizational missions through strategic planning and grant writing. Her commitment extends beyond that of her career, reaching into her local community, touching many small nonprofits.
She earned her Bachelor of Arts from La Salle University, Philadelphia, and Master of Social Work from Temple University, Philadelphia.
