Aliyah Dean facilitates group therapy, provides individual therapy, and conducts evaluations and biopsychosocial assessments for new clients. By building rapport with her patients, Aliyah creates a foundation of trust and safety that enables healing.
Aliyah worked at the Caron Outpatient Treatment Center as an intern during the 2022-2023 academic year while she was getting a Master of Arts in clinical counseling at Kutztown University. During that internship, she assisted with group and individual therapy, evaluations, and assessments.
Most recently, she was a therapist and rehabilitation specialist in a program for young neurodivergent adults at the University of Pittsburgh, aimed at improving employment outcomes. She also has experience as a psych case worker in a hospital setting, screening prospective patients for a partial hospitalization program and assisting primary therapists with case management. As a graduate assistant at Kutztown University, Pennsylvania, Aliyah facilitated brief interventions and promoted alcohol prevention and awareness for students.
In addition to her master’s degree, Aliyah is certified in mindfulness meditation techniques MBCT. She has a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania.
