With over two years of experience at Caron Treatment Center, Alex serves as a Lead Recovery Advocate, guiding patients as they transition toward a healthier, more fulfilling life after treatment for addiction and mental health challenges. His role is centered on ensuring patients feel prepared and supported for each day, overseeing their participation in clinical and medical services, meetings, and events with our alumni community.

He specializes in resolving crises, mediating interpersonal challenges, and creating a safe, nurturing environment where patients can rebuild their confidence and independence. His mission is to balance the needs of patients and staff, delivering compassionate care during this crucial period of transformation.

Prior to his role at Caron, he worked as a Lead Intake Coordinator at another treatment facility, where he had the unique opportunity to be the first point of contact for patients arriving for treatment. This role deepened his understanding of the emotional transitions patients experience—from apprehension to hope. These experiences profoundly shape his approach in supporting patients as they begin the next chapter of their recovery.

The most rewarding aspect of his work is witnessing the remarkable growth that occurs from a patient’s first days in treatment to their readiness to take the next steps in their lives. Being part of this transformation is a privilege that reinforces his commitment to the field every day.

Alex earned his Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Boston College, with a minor in Chemistry and a concentration in pre-medical studies. This academic foundation has provided him with both a scientific and philosophical perspective on the human condition, allowing him to approach patient care with insight and empathy.

He is dedicated to fostering a healing environment where patients feel supported, valued, and empowered throughout their recovery journey.
