Christopher Kennedy Lawford

I was deeply saddened to learn about the untimely passing of Christopher Kennedy Lawford. I was fortunate to spend time with Chris over the years and experience firsthand his dedication to raising awareness about addiction and his passion for recovery. Chris worked as a public advocacy consultant to Caron for many years – sharing his experience, strength and hope with individuals and families throughout the country. He was always unflinchingly honest about his story. He shared his family legacy to educate people that addiction doesn’t discriminate, and he advocated tirelessly around legislation to improve access to treatment. During this difficult time, I’m comforted by the knowledge that his powerful voice made a difference in the lives of so many – including our alumni and staff – and that his legacy will live on. Our thoughts and prayers are with his loved ones. May he rest in peace.
