Caron Receives Certification to Advertise on Google
For the past several years, unethical marketers invested heavily in Google Ads (formerly known as Google AdWords) so they would show up high in the results when someone searched for terms like “addiction treatment” and “drug rehab.” Google finally acted, blocking the ability to bid on such search terms, and partnered with LegitScript to vet addiction treatment advertisers. Treatment organizations, like Caron, had to apply for certification to advertise on Google.
Caron completed the very comprehensive LegitScript application process and we are now approved. We recently began advertising again on Google. You’ll now see the Verify LegitScript Approval logo at the bottom of our website.
While it’s critical to verify the legitimacy of advertisers, that still doesn’t account for organizations that achieve approvals but provide poor treatment as LegitScript does not review quality of care. Caron will continue to advocate for a patient’s right to quality care and urge every facet of society to hold treatment providers accountable.
