Caron DC Community Service Awards Breakfast pays tribute in a tangible and meaningful way to individuals, organizations and institutions that have made an outstanding contribution in the ongoing battle against alcohol and drug addiction in the community.

Caron's DC Community Breakfast award categories:

• Community Addiction and Recovery Advocate Award - Recognizes an individual or organization demonstrating exceptional leadership in advancing recovery through education, awareness, advocacy, or community-based programming.
• Mental Health Professional Award - Recognizes a licensed mental health professional whose clinical expertise, compassion, and commitment have positively impacted individuals and families affected by substance use and mental health challenges. This award honors professionals who collaborate across systems and advocate for accessible, high quality care.
• Healthcare Professional Award - Recognizes a physician, nurse, or healthcare professional whose leadership and commitment have positively impacted individuals and families affected by substance use disorder.
• Young Treatment Leader Award - Recognizes leadership in treatment and recovery services focused on adolescents, and/or young adults.
• Educational Excellence and Prevention Award - Recognizes an educator or educational organization demonstrating leadership in prevention, early intervention, and education related to substance use disorder.
• Alumni and Family Leadership Award - Honors a Caron alum or family member who is thriving in recovery and giving back through service, advocacy, and outreach to support individuals in early recovery.

Nominations are due by Friday, March 6th, 2026.
