Recovery Yoga with Missy Carpenter

Sunday, April 11th 11:00 AM - 12:30 PM

Missy will lead a short Q and A about recovery and yoga, guide a sixty-minute gentle yoga practice, and close the session with a meditation practice. As a Yoga Therapist and sober woman, Missy believes that “The most important journey you can take in this life is the one you take for yourself.” Through yoga therapy, she applies the ancient wisdom, tools, and techniques of yoga to address the whole person on all different levels - physical, energetic, emotional, mental, and spiritual. This helps individuals manage or eliminate symptoms that cause them pain, so they can achieve balance. Missy focuses on promoting empowerment through self-awareness, movement, and mindful meditation, while building optimal health for a peaceful and purposeful life.

Individuals have used yoga for thousands of years to help ease joint and muscle pain, emotional trauma, neurological and immune conditions, by treating the whole person to achieve alignment. Through a focus on mind, body, and spirit, one may find that yoga therapy helps inspire calm and vitality in all aspects of life.

Once you register, you will be sent the Zoom login information and a short survey with a few questions around yoga, ideas for props, queries about modifications, and suggestions for tuning into body awareness.
