The Richard J. Caron Award of Excellence 26th Annual Gala
A Celebration of Family and Recovery
Please join the Caron community for an extraordinary evening at the 26th Annual Richard J. Caron Award of Excellence Gala on November 5, 2025, at The Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts, 300 South Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA. Caron Greater Philadelphia’s premier fundraising event will support countless individuals and their families in their recovery journeys.
For nearly 70 years, Caron has helped thousands of individuals struggling with substance use disorder and their families begin to manage this chronic, treatable disease. Caron transforms lives impacted by addiction and substance use through proven, comprehensive, and patient-centric treatment plans. Above all, Caron strives to ease the pain of addiction by restoring health, hope, spirituality, and relationships, ultimately preparing individuals and families for lifelong recovery.
The Caron Greater Philadelphia Gala celebrates the journeys of those in recovery, their families, and all of you who support these life-changing efforts. This event will provide inspiration, courageous stories, fellowship, food, and entertainment. In this celebration of family and recovery, please join us to acknowledge our distinguished honorees, as well as all of those who have found new beginnings in recovery. To date, Caron has helped 100,000 people reclaim their lives from this disease.
Honoree: Sherri Belkoff
The Richard J. Caron Award of Excellence is being presented to Sherri Belkoff for her dedication, tireless commitment, and advocacy for Caron Treatment Centers. She demonstrates the compassion and support exemplified by Caron’s founders, Dick and Catherine Caron, as they made helping others a priority. Sherri is an alumna from both Caron Pennsylvania (2005) and Caron Florida (2008). She routinely volunteers as a monthly speaker, a 12-step contact to patients leaving treatment, and is a resource and mentor to many women in Greater Philadelphia.
Partner in Recovery: Independence Blue Cross Foundation
The Partner in Recovery Award will be presented to Independence Blue Cross Foundation, recognizing their support of substance use disorder and mental health prevention and treatment in the Greater Philadelphia community. The IBC Foundation strives to break down barriers with thoughtful, collaborative solutions, tailored to the specific needs of the most vulnerable populations. The STOP (Supporting Treatment and Overdose Prevention) initiative seeks to end the stigma of addiction and increase equitable access to community-based treatment and recovery resources. Over the years, IBC Foundation has supported Caron’s Student Assistance Program, Screening and Brief Intervention and Referral to Treatment (SBIRT) training program, nurse education, and by way of scholarship for communities of color.
