Ryan Mauthe enjoys his work as a case specialist supervisor, a role he took on in 2018, after spending three years as a case specialist.
In both roles, he works as part of the admissions team, completing assessments and engaging with families, patients and professionals. “Supporting and comforting someone who is at the beginning of treatment is worthwhile, especially when I see the outcome after the hard work of treatment,” he explains.
In addition to working with patients and families, he provides supervision for the team of case specialists and oversees day-to-day operations. He has also co-facilitated Family Week Workshops and has experience facilitating male gender process groups.
When he first came to Caron Renaissance, Ryan worked as a counselor assistant and weekend supervisor at the residential campus where he oversaw the staff and patients. These roles involved crisis management, patient care and assisting patients in developing healthy coping skills.
Ryan previously worked in other treatment settings and interned with a local child welfare agency. He holds a bachelor degree in social work and a master’s degree in business administration from Florida Atlantic University where he graduated summa cum laude and was the president of Phi Alpha Honors Society.
