In his role as family therapist, Michael addresses family dynamics, using a family systems lens, to facilitate growth and healing for patients and their family members.
He has been a family therapist at Renaissance since 2019. Having come from a role as primary therapist, he particularly enjoys being able to help the whole family see the challenging patterns that have kept them from communicating and connecting in healthy ways. “I help patients and family members better understand the shifts they need to make to be more effective and supportive of each other and themselves.”
Before coming to Caron, Michael was a primary therapist at an intensive outpatient program. He also has experience as a therapist at a treatment center, where he worked with patients from residential through outpatient levels of care.
He is a licensed clinical social worker with master’s and bachelor’s degrees in social work from Florida Atlantic University.
