Kristina holds a Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work from Florida Atlantic University and a Pre-Medical Bachelor’s in Behavioral Neuroscience from Northeastern University, graduating at the top of her class with the highest honors. Her doctoral experience at Barry University as a DSW candidate aims to study the neurobiological impact of trauma and stress on cognitive functioning and behavioral outcomes. She is extensively trained in polyvagal theory and its application in the clinical setting. In addition, Kristina completed her Pharmacy Technician Certification at the University of Florida and graduated with the National Pharmacy Technician Certification Board in 2014.
Kristina has practiced in both inpatient hospital, acute emergency room, and outpatient clinical settings since 2009. Kristina has a passion for addressing emotional and behavioral challenges while utilizing advanced intervention techniques to increase pro-social behavior, reinforce self-actualization, self-control, and resiliency. In addition, her practice is rooted in trauma-informed care, including the integrative approach of mindfulness and expressive arts.
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, she completed post-graduate training in:
