As a recovery support specialist with New York Recovery Support Services, Carrie provides intensive case management, recovery coaching, and critical reintegration to clients as they transition back home after treatment. Through weekly sessions, Carrie helps her clients to create and follow a plan for a healthy and balanced life in recovery.
The best part of my job is helping people feel less alone on their journey as I support their efforts toward greater well-being. I stay curious about my clients and how I can best support them over the course of their time in Recovery Support Services.
Carrie came to Caron from the West Coast where she worked with individuals and groups in a hospital-based chemical dependency program, which gave her a solid understanding of addiction treatment. She also brings experience in community mental health spaces and a background in holistic healing aimed at helping people reduce stress. One of her passions is supporting clients to cultivate self-compassion and patience with themselves.
Carrie has a master’s degree in transpersonal psychology.
