As an Outpatient Therapist at Caron Counseling Services, Brooke Schlenker offers a continuum of care that includes level-of-care evaluations, behavioral health assessments, individual and group therapy, and after-care recommendations specific to the patient’s needs.
Her clinical goal is to support her patients in working toward holistic wellness, incorporating attention to body, mind, and spirit as part of their recovery.
Brooke started working at Caron in 2017 as a behavioral health therapist for young adult and teen men, before moving into her current role in 2019. As an inpatient therapist, she was trained in dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), which uses problem solving and acceptance-based strategies to help patients achieve their goals. Prior to coming to Caron, Brooke worked in a transitional sober living program for three years.
She is a nationally certified counselor with a Master of Science in clinical mental health counseling from Shippensburg University and a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Bloomsburg University.
Creating outpatient treatment that patients and their families find welcoming and designed to meet their specific needs underlies all of the work that we do.”
